First Aid for Japanese Maples

After the Storm

The recent heavy snow storms in the Northeast and awful ice storms in my home town, Atlanta, and all across the Southeast left many broken branches on much loved Japanese Maples. We experienced such damage from two feet of heavy, wet snow that was followed by an inch of rain, then two more feet of snow! I was away from home for this calamity, and even if I had been here I don’t think I could have saved the trees from all damage.
