My Hogyoku
I hope this little photo essay of my efforts to save these trees will help you as you work with your damaged trees. It is always enough to bring tears to your eyes when you see a tree that has been damaged like this, but I know from past experience that nature will balance the tree with time, the wounds will heal and become marks of character, and perhaps your tree will be more beautiful than ever. I know it will try! Maples respond very strongly to damage, and some of your job will be to keep the growth in bounds, to manage the recovery, not just deal with the crisis.
